Toni Braxton has not had the best start to 2019 but we're confident that she's holding up. After seemingly calling it quits with her former fiance, Birdman, the "He Wasnt Man Enough" singer reportedly now has close to half a million due in taxes.
The Blast reports that the Internal Revenue Service filed a tax lien against the singer on December 4th for $340,252.99 owed from 2017. A few days later, the State of California Franchise Tax Board hit her with another tax lien worth $116,154.64. The total owing is said to be $456,407.63.
According to the publication, both the IRS and the California Tax Board urge her to manage payments as soon as possible before they go for her assets.
Toni had similar tax warnings from last year and has already filed for bankruptcy twice. The first was in 1996 and again in 2010 when she listed over $10 million in debt. Her second filing happened when she had health problems that forced her to cancel a series of Las Vegas performances.
Currently, Toni is still starring on her family reality series, Braxton Family Values and seemingly has more in store for fans this year. "Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice... but ALWAYS choose to be chosen. Cheers to a new year," she wrote on Instagram.
