The Minnesota Timberwolves will reportedly pay tribute to Prince with their new "City Edition" Nike uniforms this season.

While the T'Wolves have not officially introduced the City Edition uniforms, images of the black and purple threads have already leaked online giving us a good idea of what's in store. As a nod to the Minneapolis, Minnesota native and his iconic Purple Rain album, the Wolves will be wearing black jerseys with "Wolves" written across the chest in purple. The shorts, also coming in black, feature purple trim, a purple Wolves logo and purple "MLPS" text.

It's unknown which games the Wolves will be donning the Prince-themed City Edition uniforms but we expect more information when the organization officially unveils the design in the near future. It has been reported that teams across the league will unveil their special City Edition jerseys in the second week of November.

Check out early images in the posts embedded below while we await more details.
