All signs seem to indicate that Timbaland is gearing up for a massive year. The legendary producer has been lining his Instagram with snippets, including a brief glimpse at upcoming collaborations with Justin Timberlake and Kanye West. It's safe to say that big Timbo has some heat in the stash, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to the fold in a major way. Now, Variety has announced that Timbaland has officially inked a deal with Def Jam Records, a long-term joint venture agreement to be specific.

The deal will unite Timbo's Mosley Music Group with Def Jam records, and CEO Paul Rosenberg was quick to praise Timbo's contributions to the cause. "Timbaland is nothing short of a living legend, having redefined and pushed the sound of hip-hop forward for decades,” said Rosenberg. “We are so proud and excited to partner with him on this next chapter of his remarkable journey.”

Timbaland returned the favor, praising Rosenberg and his new label in kind. “We are happy to be partners with Paul Rosenberg and Def Jam," praises Tim. “Paul has an entrepreneurial perspective on our industry, as he comes from not only the label side of the business but management as well.  Our Mosley Music team and roster are proud to be aligned with such an iconic label as Def Jam.”

Expect big things to come from Timbo and his Mosley Music family. Mosley Music's Cosha TG recently dropped off the venture's first release, EP Summer Nights. Congrats to Timbaland and Paul Rosenberg for locking down a money move.
