In February 2013, rapper Tim Dog's death was reported by The Source magazine. It was reported that Tim Dog, real name Timothy Blair, died of seizures at the age of 46, yet there was no proof of his death, namely, a death certificate. Things got more strange when an arrest warrant was issued for Tim Dog a few months later. These two factors fed rumors that the Brooklyn native faked his own death in order to avoid prosecution following an online dating scam he pulled in 2011.

A year later, NBC Dateline has confirmed that Tim Dog did indeed pass away. Dateline did some thorough digging to find Tim Dog's death certificate. They first discovered the rapper-turned-conman was treated at the "Atlanta Medical Center before being discharged to Hospice Atlanta." This led them to start calling up funeral homes in the ATL surrounding the hospice, as the hospice wasn't able to divulge any information. They finally found a funeral home that confirmed the rapper's death along with his death certificate.

The death certificate confirms that Tim Dog passed away on February 14th, 2013, at Hospice Atlanta, Dekalb County, GA. The death certificate also re-affirms that Tim Dog was 46 years old when he died.

Tim Dog was probably most famous for his West Coast diss track, one of the first amidst the East-West feud, "Fuck Compton."
