Girls Trip actress Tiffany Haddish released a memoir not too long ago that detailed physical abuse she endured from her ex-husband, William Stewart. He has since come forward claiming he never laid a hand on her in any way, despite documents that show Tiffany had to get a restraining order against him.
“I married Tiffany, her issues, and not the Hollywood lifestyle,” William told V-103. “I have never beat or hit or called a woman a ‘MF or B’ while having a disagreement ever in my life. I never caused a miscarriage, I have documents to prove this. Tiffany advised me about a month ago about the book and she told me that I would be furious.”
Radar exclusively got its hands on the documents Tiffany filed against her ex that explained how he abused her while they were in Montreal for a comedy expo.
“We were in Montreal, Canada, when he choked me in the stairway of the hotel,” the docs read. “I ran away from him. I ran because he was trying to make me stay in the room. But I wanted to stay in the lobby and talk to my fellow comedians.” They further note how William ran after her and tackled her to the ground followed by slamming her against the wall.
Sources now reveal that William has enlisted the help of Russell Simmons lawyer, Michael T. Sterling - who is aiding Russell in his number of sexual assault and rape accusations.
“We are going where the facts lead us,” Micahel said. “I want to protect his reputation so he can get back to his regular life and keep his job.”
