Before blossoming into the star that she is, Tiffany Haddish was flexing her comedic chops on the classic Pimp My Ride. The television show, hosted by Xzibit, is a fond memory for anyone growing up in the earlier half of the 2000s. For those unfamiliar with the show, it was centered around turning someone’s hooptie into a certifiable whip. Most recently, a Twitter user took us down a trip of memory lane and happened to point out a moment missed by most when they took note of Tiffany Haddish appearing on the show.
In the clip, Haddish isn’t the lucky person who gets to have their ride redecorated, but she is the friend of the episode’s subject as she was responsible for a large dent in the side of the car. Rashae details the incident of when she and her friend Tiffany got distracted when Tiffany spotted a “fine guy across the street.”
“I was like ‘Dang. Look at him’,” Tiffany explains. “And [Rashae] was like, ‘What? And I was like ‘Oh!’”
Rashae adds: “And she just kind of collided into the side of my car.”
According to Tiffany though the dent came with good reason. “But we was looking at a really fine dude,” she justifies.
In another tweet, a user asked Tiffany if she and Rashae were still friends to this day, and she responded, “Yes, I am.”
Considering the amount of acclaim Tiffany has earned in the past year, including her inclusion in the record-breaking Girls Trip and her recent first-look deal with HBO, it’s good to know that she didn’t let the fame change much.
