Independent record label Brainfeeder is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. The label was founded by Flying Lotus, and they will be commemorating the anniversary with a compilation album called Brainfeeder X. The project will feature 21 new tracks (and a ton of classics as well) by Flying Lotus, Thundercat, DJ Paypal, Ross From Friends, Jeremiah Jae, and more and can be pre-ordered here. Brainfeeder X drops on November 16th.
Thundercat‘s Drunk single “Friend Zone” received a remix by Ross From Friends, which has been released as a single off the upcoming Brainfeeder X. The mellow house vibe makes for the perfect dance song, and doesn't stray too far from the emotion exuded by the original.
