Chicago producer Thelonious Martin has been making waves for the past few years. He's worked with some of hip hop's favorites including Freddie Gibbs, Pro Era, A$AP Rccky, Hodgy Beats and more. His unique approach to production has made him a stand-out producer to keep an eye out on. Earlier today, he dropped off his first offering of 2018 which came in the form of a new remix of Kendrick Lamar's "YAH."
Martin comes through with a clean remix of Kendrick Lamar's single "YAH." off of DAMN. While Kendrick's vocals are in tact, Thelonious Martin brings a whole new vibe to the song. It's a little dusty, a little lo-fi but holds a strong old school funk vibe to it. Thelonious gets help from I Z of The Burns Twins for the track. The feeling of live instrumentation to it brings the song to a whole other level.
Quotable Lyrics
My latest muse is my niece, she worth livin'
See me on the TV and scream, "That's Uncle Kendrick"
Yeah, that's the business
Somebody tell Geraldo this n*gga got some ambition
