Following his time on the road alongside cousin Kanye West, The World Famous Tony Williams has decided to deliver on a full-length body of work.
Featuring appearances from West, CyHi The Prynce, and Raheem DeVaughn among others, The 7th Day EP also comes outfitted with production from Bink!, and No I.D., the brain behind the boards on JAY-Z's 4:44.
"I’ve often pondered if it was an obvious breach between old school and the new generation or if we’re merely a broad line of demarcation. Whatever it is, I’ve always felt I was the bridge that brought them together," Williams said of the new release. "Who else would put CyHi over “folk/rock”, bring Stokley and Raheem Devaughn together over a No I.D. beat or pair Pharoahe Monch with the newest of new m.c.’s (Bobby Sessions) over a distorted guitar. Hopefully, this project will engage some new ears from both generations."
