Along with Skepta, Novelist, Wiley and a whole host of other grime artists, UK native Stormzy was among those that Kanye West invited onstage for his "All Day" BRIT Awards blowout, and today, he makes his HNHH debut. The banging "Skank Out" also features The Stray Doggz and Wretch 32.
A little more true to grime's original sound than any of Skepta's latest tracks, this one blends dubsteppy elements with traditional rapping and an aggressive, punk-influenced chorus. After all, "skanking" is a popular dance in the ska and hardcore punk communities, and especially after you hear the reggae bit that closes out "Skank Out," the connection makes sense.
