Questlove and company are back with the latest visuals from their acclaimed album ...and then you shoot your cousin. Not your traditional hip-hop video, this artistic interpretation of the song's lyrics depicts a young man literally on his own in the world, hoping for better but finding happiness out of reach. The imagery supports Black Thought's lyrical content, in which the narrator describes this world as "damnation," "infinity's fork in the road." It's as deep and thought-provoking as it is lyrically complex. In other words, the song and video are another timeless addition to The Roots' already stellar body of work. Check out their new LP for more from hip-hop's greatest band.
