Green Lights: Everythang Goin," the latest mixtape from Dallas trio The Outfit TX, is still picking up speed. Getting acclaim from the blogs and resonating in the streets, the impeccably curated project fuses The Outfit’s usual deep Texas ratchetness with a precise focus on cadence and melody. Those who haven’t copped the tape shall be introduced to the group’s hauntingly seductive sound and visual aesthetic in the new video to “Visions of Grandeur.” It’s the fourth Green Lights track to get the video treatment, but the first since the tape’s release.
Mel and Hawk star in the video, and they each nod in and out of sleep whilst relaying the “Visions of Grandeur” that command their dreams and that are starting to take shape in their real lives. The overall sound is just as possessing as the desires that inspire the song -- especially thanks to the gothic, piano-led instrumental from Stunt N Dozier, executive producers of Green Lights: Everythang Goin, which you can download here.
