We’re still stoked about the announcement of a Bad Boy Entertainment reunion coming up this May, so you know we had to throw it back to peak Bad Boy for Throwback Thursday this week. “Mo Money Mo Problems” had Mase at his best, as well as a typically incredible verse from Notorious B.I.G.
The video itself is a pretty big throwback with its references to peak Tiger Words and some of the shiniest suits you’ve ever laid eyes on. The soul-sampling beat, while the target of Mos Def’s ire, is also a classic. It’s really a shame that Biggie passed before the song got its video treatment. With Mase and Puffy both on the bill for the Bad Boy reunion, we might even see a Biggie hologram.
