The Lion King is the highest grossing G rated film of all time. The story of a young Simba, who is thought to be dead after his father is murdered by his own brother, is timeless. Disney's classic has been recreated on Broadway, and now, a live action version of the movie is touching down. Disney pulled out the big checks for this cast. The live action Lion King film stars Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce as Nala, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, John Kani as Rafiki, John Oliver as Zazu, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, Florence Kasumba as Shenzi, and more.

During the afternoon Thanksgiving game, Disney premiered a teaser trailer for the upcoming film. Fans get a glimpse at the photorealistic computer animated animals, who gather for one of the movie's most famous scenes. Rafiki arrives to perform the opening ritual of the film, holding Simba over Pride Rock as the entire kingdom celebrates his birth. While we don't get to see the animals talk, James Earl Jones' epic Mufasa speech sets the tone in the trailer. The live action Lion King film is set to touch down on July 19th, 2019.
