NBA All-Star Weekend never fails to put on a show that stars around the globe do not want to miss out on. Tekashi 6ix9ine had planned to perform during the festivities in Los Angeles when all of his shows were canceled for fear of gang retaliation in the audience after the rapper made some controversial comments. 6ix9ine claimed that he did not need to check in with rival gangs, prompting some prominent L.A. gang members to threaten him prior to his arrival in the city. Tekashi must have some heavy goons hanging by his side at all times because he ended up making it out of L.A. without a scratch.

With his rainbow-colored hair, it must be insanely hard to hide in a crowd, and Tekashi proved he wasn't scared and egging on the gang threats further to a point where it seemed like he was begging to get jumped. Somehow, God willing, Tekashi made it out without a hitch and, while he did not get a chance to perform at his previously-scheduled shows, the Brooklynite showed out in the City of Angels. 6ix9ine even got a chance to plug his upcoming debut mixtape Day69 on Instagram Live, telling fans that if he gets over 20,000 pre-orders that he would meet up with any L.A. gangster.

Tekashi clearly isn't scared as he continues to talk shit to his haters, continuing his Instagram live stream by teasing the people who were threatening his life, playing dead on camera and asking his fans "Imagine me on Worldstar, imagine, would you cry?" While his antics are controversial, we can't deny that Tekashi has people talking about him and, if that was the plan, promotion for Day69 may be exactly as he had wished.
