At this point, it's hard to deny that Tekashi 6ix9ine really is one of the hottest new artists in the game. Every song he's put out has managed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 including his Spanish single, "Bebe" with Annuel AA which debuted at #30. Today, Los Angeles-based Create Music Group has announced that they've signed Tekashi 6ix9ine as the first signee to their publishing division.

Create Music Group's co-founders, Jonathan Strauss and Alexandre Williams announced their new publishing division to their company via Billboard today. CMG's first signee to the publishing sector of their company is none other than Tekashi 6ix9ne.

"6ix9ine has changed the music landscape," CMG CEO John Strauss said. "He is breaking boundaries like no one else and is without a doubt the most exciting new artist of the year. We are looking forward to working with him and his team for many years to come."

In addition to 6ix9ine, C4, GooseTheGuru and CESAR have also signed long-term deals with CMG's publishing division.

Create Music Group was launched as a YouTube collection specialist and has grown into a multi-million dollar company since its inception. They've helped artists with monetizing off of mixtapes and music videos over the years. In 2017, they brought in $30M in revenue.

6ix9ine's attorney, Bob Celestin, praised CMG for "setting a new standard for maximizing music publishing revenues for artists in a way that is innovative, completely transparent and highly efficient. All of these reasons and more is why 6ix9ine made a decision to sign a music publishing deal with Create."
