This past year has been quite eventful for Tekashi 6ix9ine. His fame skyrocketed while he earned a consistent string of hit records and gained accolades from his peers in the form of collaborations. He also released his debut album after a memorable rollout which included his imprisonment for racketeering charges. DUMMY BOY has officially earned its spot in history as the worst rap album to drop in 2018 according to its Metacritic rating.

Metacritic combines ratings from a multitude of publications and determines the average score. DUMMY BOY came through with the lowest metascore. The average rating landed at 39 out of a potential perfect score of 100 . The HNHH review was not far off this mark. At times, user ratings surpass the critics', pointing to a divergence in tastes between both factions of listeners but Tekashi's album wasn't so lucky. DUMMY BOY's user rating rests at 1.6 out of 5. Despite the hype and the commercial success, the LP could be considered the worst rap album of 2018.

Other fan favorites scored below 50 as well. Lil Xan's Total Xanarchy came in with a rating of 49 and Tory Lanez' Memories Don't Die earned 46. XXXTentacion's posthumous release, Skins, scored 44. The album's user rating of 3.1 was more favorable.
