Tekashi 6ix9ine has been denied bail by a Judge in New York who deemed him a major flight risk. Federal authorities arrested him in NYC this Wednesday on an outstanding warrant he had accumulated in Houston, Texas. The rapper was wanted for allegedly choking a 16-year-old who was tracking him closely with a camera. A video appeared to show Tekashi laying hands on the teenager but evidence is inconclusive at this crucial point in time.

The official arrest was made upon arrival at JFK. Tekashi had been touring Europe, where soccer hysteria had reached a fiery state. According to TMZ, the Judge presiding over his case sees no harm in having the NY rapper spend an additional night behind bars. Tekashi countered with claims that his family depended on his release for all kinds of "support," to no avail as the Judge stood by his initial decision. 6ix9ine's plea deal and prior convictions played a giant role in keeping him submerged.

In other words, Tekashi will remain imprisoned until his hearing on July 20th, after which he will likely face extradition to the state of Texas. Extradition laws in the U.S. are far more prohibitive than rulings made overseas. Best of luck 6ix9ine.
