Last week, a marketing campaign starring an unusually romantic Tekashi 6ix9ine started making the rounds online. The video, made with the intention of selling sex toys and such, starts with Tekashi assuming a position of ignorance only to have a store employee correct his selfish practices. "When I was younger I used to make a lot of stupid mistakes but I'm ready to learn more," Tekashi jokingly admits, before thanking the clerk for her insight. The commercial comes to a close, with the viewer almost (but not quite) forgetting Tekashi's quarrelsome record with the opposite sex.
Since debuting the ad on Valentine's Day, Romantic Depot has since sold the blooper reels from the November taping to TMZ for an undisclosed sum. 6ix9ine is red with envy as the Sex Doll he grows close to, appears to be outside of his price range, resulting in the store manager offering him the Toy as a compensatory reward for his services. "Are you crazy?!?" Tekashi replied. "My mother would bug if she saw this under my bed!!!"
For what it's worth, Romantic Depot is the largest chain of sex stores in the NY-area, with retail outlet conveniently scattered in and around the central hub of Manhattan: the Bronx, Yonkers, Westchester, Rockland and Bergen Counties round out the list. The final blooper cut as presented to TMZ is ready for consumption. Romantic Depot has done well to keep the buzz going another week.
