Tee Grizzley is back with another offering from his upcoming project Activated. This time around, he's reunited with his "From The D To The A" collaborator Lil Yachty, serving up a new banger called "2 Vaults." The track debuted on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, where the Detroit rapper spoke at length about his upcoming endeavors. "I feel like Activated is going to be bad for a lot of rappers because they’re not going to be able to get by with all the BS they’ve been getting away with," says Tee. "I really hope that they enjoy themselves and have fun and get their shine on because when Activated drops, it’s over with."

Now, "2 Vaults" has arrived, which finds both rappers trading verses over an understated yet menacing trap banger. Not long after claiming he can outrap 75% of young rappers, Yachty holds it down with his best verse in a minute, channeling his youthful exuberance into an OG's swagger. Tee Grizzley is the perfect counterbalance, with an energetic delivery; where the new school is concerned, Grizzley has proven himself to be one of the game's most capable lyricists. He tends to strike a healthy balance between modern musical sensibilities while still respecting the grounds established by hip-hop's forefathers.

True, the pair are basically rapping about the most common theme in hip-hop music. Still, at least they're doing it with style. Stay tune for Activated, dropping May 11.

Quotable Lyrics

I'm still under 21 so I can't cop a pistol
But them choppas in my name and they can't wait to hit you
Crib came with a court and some league officials
Carrot cake around my neck, VS on the crystals
