Tech N9ne hasn't lost his drive in the rap game despite being in it for a long time. At this point in his career, he's released twenty albums including his latest, Planet. It's surprising to see him have the same hunger as he did when he first started in the game considering how much he tours as well. However, in a recent interview, he teased the idea of hanging up the towel from the rap game.
In a recent interview with Beatstars, Tech N9ne hinted at the possibility of his retirement in the coming years. The rapper explained that he's still hungry as he's always been due to his fans but he plans on retiring in four years.
"I want to show fans that I'm still hungry and that we're still trying to build Strange Music. I'm not complacent, I'm not content with this level of success. Even though we've reached a higher height, you know what I'm sayin'? Forbes list, keep hittin' it, we're going higher." He said, "We want to go higher in the next four years because in four years, woof."
When the host asked if that meant he was going to retire, Tech laughed and said, "Pay attention, pay attention. Oh man, it's better at the top and leave than watchin' mothafuckas see you die."
Despite his plans on retiring, he made it clear that he won't be completely removed from the rap game.
"I got a label. I got fourteen artists, or more now. It's work I gotta do." He said.
