The Horned Frogs do it again.
The TCU Football program picked up another epic come from behind win in the Alamo Bowl last night, this time overcoming an 18-point deficit to beat Stanford 39-37. The last time TCU played in the Alamo Bowl in 2016, the Horned Frogs beat the University of Oregon 47-41 in overtime, after trailing by as many as 31 points.
TCU trailed Stanford 21-3 early and went into the half down 21-10, but mounted a second half come back behind a handful of big plays, including a "double pass" from quarterback Kenny Hill to receiver Desmon White, who then threw it back to Hill for a 27-yard touchdown that narrowed the gap to 21-16 early in the third quarter.
26 seconds into the fourth quarter, Hill connected with Jalen Reagor on a 93-yard touchdown to narrow Stanford's lead to 31-29, and three minutes after that Desmon White took a punt 76 hards to the house.
In his final game with TCU, Kenny Hill threw for two touchdowns, rushed for one and caught another, as the Horned Frogs once again managed an epic second half performance in the Alamo Bowl.
