The two have been friends for over a deade at this point. The two began getting close when Selena dated Nick Jonas and Taylor dated his brother, Joe. Since then, their respective careers have reached new heights whcih is reportedly an aspect that keeps them close.

“They are two of the most famous people in the world and deal with things normal people don't have to think about,” the source said. “At the end of the day the most important thing for Selena is to be happy."
