Recently, Tamera Mowry shared a mournful moment on her social media in mentioning her deceased teenage niece, Aliana Housley. The teen was a college freshman at Pepperdine University and also one of the twelve victims killed during the Borderline Bar and Grill shooting last year. The 18-year-old was shot and killed by a disgruntled gunman who entered the bar and began firing shots. A total of twelve people were killed and several others were injured. The Ventura County Sheriff involved in the case called the crime scene "horrific." The motives underlying the shooting remain unknown as the gunman killed himself following the perpetuated massacre.

The tragedy still impacts Mowry till this day and she penned a heartfelt tribute to her late niece via her Instagram account. According to PageSix, the actress and talk-show host shared a photo of Housley along with a tear-jerking caption: "I often do a double take at women that remind me of you! The pain of how you were taken from us comes back. … I wish you were here to see my children grow, and for us to see the woman you were to become. I’ll have to accept we have a warrior of an angel watching over us now. Love you. #AlainasVoice #MyAngel."
The "Sister, Sister" star found out of her niece's passing after inquiring about her through a roommate, believing she was only missing at the time. She later confirmed her niece's passing. RIP Alina Housley.
