Today, November 1st, is National Free Taco Day at Taco Bell from 2pm-6pm local time. You can saunter in to any participating location and they will give you, free of charge, a Doritos Locos taco, although the breeziness of the experience might be limited by the a long line.

Why is this happening? It's become a tradition now for Taco Bell to give away free tacos in the world series if a player steals a base. It's officially called Steal A Base Steal A Taco and today you have this guy to thank:

Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox stole second in the first inning and he was completely aware of what would happen:

The finger rubbing, meant to signify "money" is likely a reference to how much Taco Bell is going to give away. As Business Insider reports, "in 2015, Taco Bell spent at least $10 million giving away free A.M. Crunchwraps after Kansas City Royals player Lorenzo Cain stole second base during a game against the New York Mets."
