SZA's had one hell of a come up. While she joined the Top Dawg Entertainment family around the same time as Isaiah Rashad, she's currently the second biggest artist on the roster behind Kendrick Lamar. It's been over a year since she released CTRL but within the year of its release, the project earned her several Grammy nominations and put her high-up on many year end lists. Today, she revealed that her album reached another huge milestone.
SZA took to Instagram to announce that her debut album, CTRL has surpassed 2.3B streams. The singer shared a set of photos on Instagram flexing her new neon green hair while holding up the platinum plaque and thanking her fans, her label and God.
"Today I found out we 2.3 billion streams deep and a bunch a other cool stuff😰 . I love my family . I love you all for pressing play at any time . Thank you for this journey 🙏🏾 @dangerookipawaa@iamstillpunch @rcarecords Thank you God for this existence. Amen 🙏🏾💗#TDE," she captioned the post.
Although the project has reached a major milestone in the streaming world, fans are eagerly waiting for her follow-up. SZA teased a deluxe edition of CTRL nearly a year a go and in March, she said that the deluxe version has "6 bonus tracks so far." It's unsure when we'll receive that but we're definitely due for some new tunes from SZA.
