SZA details her come-up in a new "Where I'm From" documentary from Life + Times.
Over the past few weeks, Jay Z's Life + Times site has been putting out short documentaries on young artists in a series called "Where I'm From." So far, illustrious producers Hit-Boy and DJ Mustard have been profiled, and now SZA, TDE's first lady, has gotten one. Watch it above.
As the New Jersey native was still living in her parents' house and working at Sephora under a year ago, she makes perfect sense as a subject in this series. In the doc, she tells of how her brother used to make her "sing over MF DOOM beats," which was her first experience with making music. Look how far she's come.
