One of the many highlights on Lil Wayne's new album, Tha Carter V is the Swizz Beatz produced single, "Uproar." The song sparked a viral challenge that has taken over the internet, but unfortunately, not many people realize that Swizz Beatz directly reworked producer Ez Elpee's beat for "Special Delivery" by G. Dep. Elpee accused Swizz of downplaying the fact that the "Uproar" beat was based on his production on "Special Delivery." After Elpee's comments, Swizz took to social media to respond to the claims.
Swizz Beatz heard Elpee's word loud and clear. The "Uproar" producer took to social media to finally give Elpee credit for his work on the track.
"Super shout out to Ez Elpee," he said in a post on Instagram and Twitter. "The original producer of 'Special Delivery.'"
Swizz didn't elaborate any further, but it's good to see him show Elpee the credit he rightfully deserves. In Elpee's interview with HipHopDX, he said that he was initially upset over the fact that he was omitted from the credits.
“I went into the comments or whatever, and [Swizz] is trying to downplay it,” he said. "It’s just like if I took ‘Ruff Ryders Anthem‘ and did it over and didn’t give him a credit for it."
Swizz Beatz is currently gearing up to release his forthcoming project, Poison which includes the Lil Wayne-assisted single, "Pistol On My Side."
