Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are still at odds, weeks after their New York Fashion Week scuffle in which Cardi's shoe was famously thrown and a noticeable bump grew out of the "Bodak Yellow" rapper's forehead before she left the event. Both rappers have exchanged insults since the physical altercation, but the heated dislike won't last past 2020, according to Swizz Beatz.

The producer described the rivalry as a regular part of Hip Hop culture.

"It’s just Hip Hop. Hip Hop has always been controversial, competitive. It doesn’t ruffle my feathers. Hip Hop was designed for the rebellious to express. It’s never been proper, it’s been about fighting and expression. Not that I condone violence but when I look at something like that – it’s Hip Hop."

His perspective comes from the evolution of some of the community's past rivalries, referring to those who have been able to call a truce.

"They’ll be friends this time next year. Look at Drake and Meek [Mill]. Look at 50 Cent and Fat Joe. This is Hip Hop. They get into it in that moment then everybody comes round to their senses because it’s an entertainment business. They’re not going to kill each other. It’s nothing."
