Police believe that they have identified the man who shot and killed New Orleans rapper BTY YoungN in Hollygrove at the end of last month. The 27-year-old rapper, born Desmone Jerome, had recently signed a deal with Birdman's Rich Gang imprint.
YoungN was shot and killed at a Shell gas station in the 9200 block of Airline Highway at around 11 p.m. on April 29. On Friday night (May 12), police named 31-year-old Darryl Bannister Jr. as the suspect in YoungN's murder.
As of Saturday morning (May 13), Bannister had not been located, and there have been no subsequent reports of his arrest. When found, he will be arrested and charged with second-degree murder, reports WWL-TV.
