The same individual who successfully wagered $1 million on the Eagles upsetting the Patriots in last year's Super Bowl, has upped his bid this time around. According to SB Nation who broke the story this morning, William Hill, the bookkeepers that handled the anonymous Eagles' wager last year, has confirmed a $1.5 million wager on the basis of a Los Angeles Rams upset over the New England Patriots.

"The money-line wager came with a price of +120, which means (John Doe the Gambler) would net $1.8 million" if Los Angeles wins, SB Nation's David Fucillo writes. "The Patriots had been getting 73 percent of the money-line wagering earlier this week. That number has now swung to 72 percent Rams. A $1.5 million wager will do that to the handle."

But William Hill isn't the lone betting house to report something of the sort. Apparently, South Point recently accepted a $300,000 moneyline wager also on the Los Angeles Rams - possibly with the 2.5-point spread in mind. With that in mind, the New England Patriots enter Sunday's game as 2.5-point favorites to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy. The Pats are not the favorites going into a Super Bowl matchup. They landed the distinction in their last two appearances, in Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl LII respectively. Who've you got winning the big game? - comment below.
