Singer Summerella first found fame not behind the booth, but rather behind camera phone when she was among the first in the wave of viral Internet stars that accompanied the rise in platforms likes Vine, and later, Instagram.
Building a following off comical snippets, the Atlanta-based artist has since converted followers to ears and has the talent to back it up. Her more successful outing has been her “Pull Up” collaboration with singer Jacquees, and this week, delivers the clip for sultry single.
The new video, underwritten with a storyline of a budding romance, arrives just ahead of Summerella’s debut First Day Of Summer EP, scheduled to arrive on July 18th following a delay that kept it from its original due date last month.
If “Pull Up” is any indication, however, the new project should do nothing less than confirm a semblance of a bright future for the R&B upstart.
