From the opening track "New Jewels, one might consider this mixtape to be conceptual in nature. Right off the bat, Massachusetts cousins StupidGenius set it off homage to the classic Biggie tack "Goin' Back to Cali," and from that point on we are transported to a world of sunsets, palm trees, and beaches. The vibe here is less LA Noir, more California Love. The production shines with upbeat G-Funk flavored jams, backed by intricate percussion and synth arrangements.

Standout track "Palm Trees" encapsulates this Los Angeles fantasy, and while they may not hail from the city of Angels, they are more than capable of representing the legacy.
