HotNewHipHop has a contingent of writers deployed to South By Southwest to take in the sites and sounds, as well as get some fire interviews for everyone’s later enjoyment. We’ve also partnered with Street Execs to put together an independent artist showcase featuring some of the most exciting artists still rocking with independent labels.
The showcase will take place on Saturday at Peckerheads in Austin, with festivities beginning at 8pm central time. The lineup currently consists of Sonny Digital and Black Boe headlining things, with Scotty ATL, Lil West, Yung Booke, Skooly, Mathaius Young, Money Makin Nique, Cap 1 and Prezz. More artists are expected to be added to the bill before the show.
