West Coast producer Terrace Martin has helped craft some of the hottest music that’s come out of Los Angeles over the last decade, most recently including hits from YG ("Twist My Fingaz") and several off Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A ButterFly album, but now it’s Terrace’s time to shine. Looking to create a masterpiece of his own, the multi-talented musician just released his new album on Friday called Velvet Portraits.
With guest contributions coming from Thundercat, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, and others, look for a more jazzy, soulful vibe heard throughout the 14 records as we’re accustomed to hearing from him. Led by the previously heard singles “Think Of You” & “Tribe Called West,” Velvet Portraits can now be streamed in its entirety for free below.
