Noname's long-anticipated follow up to her masterful debut has arrived Room 25 is like its predecessor, a comprehensive "independent" release. In keeping with the "indie" spirit, Noname (no pun intended) has recruited some of Chicago best-kept secrets, the likes of which include Ravyn Lenae, Smino, Saba, Pheolix and several others. Presumably, Noname has made a concerted effort of solely "picking local produce" for her album. Which is not easy to do unless you go the independent route, as history would have it.

Noname hopes Room 25 will help her turn the rhetoric on "female" conscious rappers. “Maybe this project will show some of those people who think that I am this very, like, conscious female rapper that I’m just as regular and normal as everybody," she told The Fader last week.
