It's early Saturday evening, the perfect time to start your night with another episode of OVO Sound Radio. It was just Oliver El-Khatib on the last episode, though he still managed to drop a couple of exclusives, including the new single from Roy Wood$. Expect more unreleased material tonight, as the special guest has been revealed to be dvsn, the mysterious R&B act that signed to OVO last month.
There was little known about the persona(s) behind dvsn until the act made its live debut during OVO's surprise showcase at the Fader Fort last weekend at SXSW. The highly talented male vocalist who appeared on stage could himself be the only one behind dvsn, though he was joined by a female DJ as well as a backing choir of female gospel singers.
The debut album from dvsn, entitled Sept. 5th, is set to arrive on April 1. The album's artwork and tracklisting was shared earlier this month. Four tracks from the album have been released thus far: "With Me," "The Line," "Too Deep," and "Hallucinations." All of those tracks were released late last year. Expect to hear at least a couple more during tonight's episode of OVO Sound Radio.
