Though he dropped Hempire just a few months ago, Berner couldn't keep away from the game for long. Hence, Packs, a new album full of features from Wiz Khalifa to the seemingly ubiquitous French Montana, drops tomorrow on iTunes. Like Berner says on the track "Addict," he's "addicted to the game."
The San Francisco rapper, who is signed to Wiz's Taylor Gang Records, has been busy this year with the aforementioned Hempire and the collaboration album Prohibition Part 3 with West Coast rap legend B-Real.
Packs is a trademark Taylor Gang Records album with vivid stories of weed, women, and the fast life all set to West Coast sounds. The downbeat melodies carry throughout the project but it still maintains an eclectic vibe. It's got trap music on tracks like "Clockin'" (featuring French Montana) as well as 70s soul-sampled joints like "Chilled" (featuring Wiz).
