Anna Wise won a Grammy before she ever released a solo project. She earned her hardware for her vocal performance on Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly single. But as any Kendrick fan knows, she is more than talented enough to carry a project by herself. She is an old soul exploring the vast, richly textured and soundscape of R&B in 2016.
Wise released her debut EP The Feminine: Act 1 on Friday. "Precious Possession" is particularly smooth but the whole project is definitely worth a listen. Especially because it's run-time is a mere 16 minutes.... or 20% as long as VIEWS.
