Stormzy is perhaps the next big thing to emerge out of British grime. Monday afternoon, he released a new Sir Spyro-produced song called "Scary" that comes as a sort of harbinger of doom: "The album is coming."
Stormzy's fondness for nocturnal music videos, evident in "One Take Freestyle" & "Standard," dictates the tone of "Scary" -- the hulking British rapper dons the hood and spits for the camera in a dark room lit by a table full of candles. On some priest shit. Indeed, Sir Spyro sets the scene with an ominous sort of Gregorian chant and Stormzy raps about his position in relationship to to the throne. (He's behind it.)
