Strange Music is becoming more and more diverse. As Tech N9ne's own music reaches in different directions, so do the artists of his label. Stevie Stone's new record, "Get Fucked Up" certainly doesn't sound like the ferocious double-time rap we generally hear from the label, instead settling into a sound that wouldn't have been out of place back in the days of crunk.
Of course, the title of the song fits with that aesthetic perfectly, but the minimal bounce of the beat and Stone's barreling hook is a lane all his own at this point, and it's more than welcome. Stone's new album, Malta Bend, is out June 30th on Strange Music.
