Steve Kerr is one to talk.
If you were to look at some of the best dynasties in team sports as of right now, you would probably look to the New England Patriots of the NFL and the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. The Patriots just won their sixth championship in 17 seasons on Sunday, while the Warriors have won three of the last four NBA titles. Both teams are exactly what every franchise aspires to be and fans of those clubs have been treated to some elite play on the field and on the court for years. Considering both teams are so used to winning, it was puzzling when Warriors head coach Steve Kerr commented on the Super Bowl in the way he did.
"It just gets old watching the same team win the whole thing," Kerr said via The Athletic. "Sorry, that was really arrogant, wasn't it? It was kind of fun to say that."
Obviously, Kerr was just trolling here and knows very well that there are probably a ton of people around the league that are tired of the Golden State dynasty. Regardless of how you feel about the Warriors and their super team, you have to admit that watching them night in and night out is an exciting spectacle that isn't going to last forever. Even if you don't like them, it's important to appreciate them while they're still together.
The Warriors are tied for first in the Western Conference with the Denver Nuggets and are expected to make another title run this season.
