Stephen A. had hot takes since Day 1.

Stephen A. Smith appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to relive the very moment that he learned he had the "guts" to make it as a journalist, which came at the expense of his college basketball coach.

As Stephen A. explained, he was on a basketball scholarship at Winston-Salem State University playing for legendary coach Clarence "Big House" Gaines, but that didn't stop him from penning an article in the school's newspaper about how Big House needed to step down and retire.

Furthermore, he says he actually told the coach what he was going to write before it went public, and then had the balls to show up to practice the next day anyway.

Stephen A. also spoke to Kimmel about being the "spoiled baby" in his family and what it was like to call the Pacquiao v. Vargas fight. Check out those two clips below.
