Going into last night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Golden State Warriors had a 3-1 lead in the series. With an opportunity to close out the series at home, the Warriors lost by a score of 129-121 and let Lou Williams drop 33 points on them. Now, the Warriors have a 3-2 lead and if the Clippers are able to crawl back, the 3-1 lead jokes will be played for months and maybe even years to come.
After the game on Wednesday, superstar Steph Curry spoke to the media about the team's performance and what went wrong.
"Numbers don't lie," Curry said. "The matter of our intensity or our lack of intensity to start the game kind of came back to bite us. They had confidence all throughout their rotation early. And they fed off that in the second half."
Curry also talked about just how effective Williams was and how the Warriors will have to do a better job of containing him in game 6.
"[Williams is] obviously an X-factor for them and the main catalyst in terms of momentum swings because he can get going really quick," Curry explained. "It's one of those nights that we've got to erase from our memory quick."
The Warriors will have an opportunity to bounce back on Friday night in game 6.
