Social media can be a dangerous place for the rich and famous. Not only can you severely damage your reputation with your own posts on Twitter and Instagram, but you also have to worry about what others might share about you on their own profiles.

Hooking up with people becomes a lot easier and a lot more difficult when you reach a certain level of success. On the one hand, there are more opportunities than ever, but at the same time, you have to be careful with who you trust with certain access. Recently, we've been seeing a few artists who've learned about this the hard way, particularly, because they didn't factor in the possibility of being photographed in their sleep. These photos of slumbering celebrities are generally used as proof of purchase for fans looking for bragging rights the morning after-- and it's becoming more and more common.

Click through the gallery to see some of your favorite artists taking part in some unsolicited selfies. Our only advice for these type of situations -- STAY WOKE!

Lil Wayne (2012)

We know that Weezy has some pretty crazy groupie stories under his belt (see below), so this is relatively tame for him. Back in 2012, the rapper was pictured passed out on the couch next to a woman named Saralyn, a dancer and model. Apparently, she didn't actually post the photo herself, and it ended up online through someone else -- she also made sure to point out that this was not a "groupie" dynamic at all

Waka Flocka (2014)

In 2014, some photos of Waka made their way online through a woman who was trying to prove to his fiancee Tammy Rivera that he had been unfaithful. Tammy questioned the merit of the accusations on Twitter, and the couple have remained together since.

Justin Bieber (2015)

Justin is rumored to have some pretty strict non-disclosure agreements in place for people he invites back to his hotel room, but there seemed to be something of a slip in the system during his trip to Brazil. Rather than a photo, a woman identified as Tati Neves filmed a clip of herself hanging out in a home Bieber rented to stay in during a concert. While there were rumors Neves was a prostitute, Bieber's team shut down the gossip and claimed the singer had simply passed out on the couch following a party, where he was then filmed.

Meek Mill

Meek Mill (2013)

Meek Mill's slumbering photo made its way out in 2013, and reportedly surfaced after a woman sent evidence to a friend of her conquest. These days, Meek is pretty safe after shacking up with Nicki Minaj. While the two have been known to share provocative selfies, Meek is always in the know.

Swae Lee

Swae Lee (2016)

Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee was the most recent rapper to find an unsuspecting photo of himself online, and while he attested the context of the pic, he didn't seem all that upset about it, but rather amused.

According to Swae, the woman pictured beside him in bed was actually something of a third wheel that night, something he attempted to prove with a NSFW Twitter video. We'll never know exactly what went down here, but perhaps it's time that Swae insist on his guests signing a non-disclosure agreement in the future.

Kanye West

Kanye West (2015)

Well, this one was actually a joke, but one that was good enough to be worthy of inclusion. Kim Kardashian seems to be well familiar with the sleeping selfie technique, and she's perfected it in the pic with Kanye (along with the genius caption, "Side chicks be like"). We have to say, the framing and lighting in this photo are pretty immaculate, but we'd expect nothing less from the woman who published a whole book on the art of the selfie.
