Norweigian production duo Stargate (made up of Mikkel Storleer Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen) recently hit up Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show to premiere and discuss their new single "1Night," which features a cast of prominent hip-hop players - 21 Savage, Murda Beatz, and PARTYNEXTDOOR to be specific.
When asked about working with 21 Savage, Tor Erik Hermansen spoke highly about the hot sauce aficionado. "Even though there's some darkness in his lyrics, there's also a sense of humor and playfulness to a lot of his punchlines. We knew this kid had something special. He works on hip-hop time which is after midnight, and we work on like, two grown men family time. We actually never met. We gave him the beat, he did his verse, sent it back to us, and we put it on the record."
They also give a shout out to Murda Beatz, who helped produced the record. "Another crazy talented Canadian, with the dopest drum sounds in the world." Be sure to check out the record below, which premiered this morning.
