Star Wars: The Last Jedi divided fans unlike any other movie in the franchise. While some believe it to be a strong addition to the series, others have their problems. The film was certainly ambitious, causing much debate between audiences. To detail the arduous process of creating a Star Wars film, they created a documentary to capture what happened during production.

The Director and The Jedi is a full-length documentary directed by Anthony Wonke. It just made its debut at SXSW. From what we can make of the 12-minute clip, the doc follows director, Rian Johnson as he learns how to create a huge movie. We get to see some of the decision-making process as well as see Johnson directing Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley.

If you're interested in everything that goes in to filmmaking, it appears that the documentary will cover the journey in detail. The documentary will be included in The Last Jedi's home video release as a special feature. Episode 9 may be some time away, but you can watch Solo: A Star Wars Story out this May. You can check out the clip below.
