Rising Chicago crooner Stan Sono has built a nice steady buzz for himself over the past year or so, thanks in part to his debut project Infatuated & its hit single “Rewind,” which just surpassed the 1 million stream mark on Spotify couple months back & saw a co-sign from T.G.O.D.’s own Wiz Khalifa in the process.

Having been relatively. quiet for the past 6 months, with exception to his “Emergency” video, the multi-talented producer & singer decides to return to the scene today and share his new single “Damelo,” which has already seen a nice co-sign from Rob Markman (see below).

Going in over production from No Sleep, Sono delivers a melodic & catchy R&B record that finds him intertwining some bilingual wordplay and showing off his vocal range in the process, while crooning about some “Spanish Mamis” wanting him to give it to them, or in other words “Damelo.” The song means "give it to me" in Spanish for those who don't know.

Highlighted by its instantly catchy chorus and melodic flow, “Damelo” is another strong addition to Stan Sono’s growing catalogue of hits, and just the single he may need to get that well-deserved notoriety. This shit fire.

“The song means "give it to me" in Spanish for those who don't know lol.” Stan said over an email. “After my first project, Infatuated, the feedback I got was the people wanted bangers from Sono. I worked on a lot of new material. I did this record while I was in Pittsburgh mixing some of that new music with E. Dan when one day he got slammed with some of Wiz's songs for most of the day and I suddenly had time free time to work on some music so I setup a session with Pittsburgh local producer No Sleep whose production and remixes I love. Not expecting anything, within 3-4 hours we had this song. I chose it out of all my current new songs to put out next and who would have thought! You never know when lighting strikes so you always gotta be ready. No Sleep killed the production and I think this song is important for me right now because it starts to tell my story. I felt very free and loose when I was writing it and because it resonates with where I'm at in my life right now, it really speaks to everything I'm going through.”

Take a listen and let us know what you think!

Quotable Lyrics:

Spanish mami say Damelo, Damelo
Effect like a domino, domino
Bandz comin in, one by one, one by one
Bandz comin in, one by one, one by one
