During this year's Sundance Film Festival, Sorry to Bother You shook audiences with its distinct narrative stylings and cinematic pastiche. The trailer for the film has finally debuted online, and paints a comedic and hallucinatory picture of prosperity.

Lakeith Stanfield, who is best known for his star-making roles in Atlanta and Jordan Peele's Get Out, will star as Cassius "Cash" Green, a man who believes success in telemarketing can be found in sounding like a white person. Stanfield quickly becomes a lucrative salesperson by assuming the guise of a man named David Cross, enabling him tp enter the upper echelons of the telemarketing industry.

Stanfield's impression of a typical American suburbanite also allows him to encounter a bevy of high-ranking individuals, including a coke-snorting CEO played by Call Me By Your Name's Armie Hammer. However, as Stanfield's character begins to gain notoriety in his field, his girlfriend, played by Tessa Thompson, is visibly unimpressed with his approach to acquiring success.

The film was directed and written by Boots Riley, and will include various instances of hypnagogic imagery inspired by wonky drug trips. Peep the trailer below, ahead of its theatrical debut this summer.
