About a month since his last self-released track, "Go," Sonny Digital has returned with the Zaytoven-produced "We Don't Know." As he's already proven his ability to rap over his own productions, it's been exciting to see Sonny try his skills at beats from other top-notch ATL producers.
The production on "We Don't Know" finds Zay's typical mix of hand claps and chant samples blended with an especially smooth electronic synth melody. The tempo is ripe for Sonny's steady, melodic punchlines, and the song includes some of his best ("Bitch I feel like Clipse, OK, you know we grindin'"). He comes back to the memorable hook a few times on the track, though there are several instances of progressions that sound like hooks on their own.
